Last night London College of Communication (LCC) BA (Hons) Advertising and BA (Hons) Sports Journalism students showed racism the red card with an event attended by ex-footballers including former Wimbledon and Charlton player Jason Euell.

Advertising students showcased entries to a competition to communicate the message of anti-racism educational charity Show Racism the Red Card to 16-25 year olds. Sports Journalism students held a press conference to announce the winner of the competition and discuss the issues raised by the charity.

The winning concept came from students Benjamin Tan, Alina Suhorukova and Evija Sundman with their Stay Colourblind posters. But there was also praise for the concept of a goal sharing website, Netted, that encourages users to share great football moments on social media, earn points and win prizes.
