Sixteen creatives destined to define the future design landscape will exhibit in UAL Now at designjunction during London Design Festival 2015; selected from UAL’s graduating class, the exhibiting artists are drawn from over 5,000 graduating students. At designjunction these rising star designers will appear alongside prestigious brands from around the globe, through the UAL Now initiative which showcases the most exciting emerging talent from University of the Arts London.

An exhibition celebrating the launch of EDIT 2.0/, a publication produced by LCC’s Course Leader for BA (Hons) Graphic and Media Design, Craig Burston. Subtitled ‘What Does Green Really Mean?’, the book records an investigation into the assumptions we make about the notion of ‘green’.

Students from London College of Communication have joined forces with iconic publisher Ladybird Books in a collaboration that reimagines the brand in today’s world. The exhibition is the culmination of a six-month project in which illustrators, animators and graphic designers from LCC have collaborated to create work that celebrates and reimagines Ladybird’s classic pocket-sized books for their centenary year.

Tsai & Yoshikawa Figure No.1

This new site-specific work by collaborative artists Hsiao-Chi Tsai and Kimiya Yoshikawa will be installed within Chelsea’s Henry Moore Courtyard. Commissioned by Chelsea College of Arts, the artists have taken inspiration from the courtyard’s absent Henry Moore sculpture, ‘Two Piece Reclining Figure No.1 1959’, considering its historical relevance to Moore’s work and the College.

Chelsea College of Arts will be celebrating 10 years of creativity at Millbank with ‘Chelsea 10’ an exhibition celebrating Artists and Designers that have graduated from the college since 2005. The exhibition is taking place across the Millbank site with work exhibited in the Triangle Space, Cookhouse Gallery and the Rootstein Hopkins Parade Ground.

MiAL Pop Up Shop at We Built This City

UAL Students’ Union initiative Made in Arts London are teaming up with We Built This City’s Carnaby Street store to host a week long pop-up shop showcasing an exciting selection of emerging art and design. MiAL’s Pop Up Shop will offers the chance to buy affordable art and design from some of the most talented students and graduates from University of the Arts London, including illustration, limited editions, artist books, homeware, fashion, and accessorie. The pop-up shop will host two artist workshops: Make your own Pop Art Jewellery and Screen Print your own Tote Bag.
