Prix Pictet 2009

LCC Associate Lecturer Ed Kashi, nominated to Prix Pictet 2009 for his series ‘Curse of the Black Gold: 50 Years of Oil in the Niger Delta’, has taken second prize, winning the Prix Pictet Commission. Ed will visit Madagascar in January to produce a series of photographs that will highlight many of the issues that UK Charity, Azafady are focusing on in this endangered environment. Ed will be presenting his work at LCC on 10 March and there will be an exhibition of his work at HOST gallery from 9 March.
Ed is a regular Associate Lecturer on LCC’s MA Photojournalism and Documentary Photography (online mode).
